Après avoir étudié le droit à l'université de Virginie et exercé le métier d'avocat à Washington D.C., David Baldacci se consacre désormais à l'écriture. Depuis l'immense succès de son premier roman, Les Pleins Pouvoirs (Flammarion, 1996), il est considéré comme un maître du polar.
